01

Situation

Ocular surface disease and dry eye management are clinically nuanced, yet traditional education can end before new knowledge reaches the exam room. C.L.O.S.E.—Collaborative Learning in Ocular Surface Education—was designed around that implementation gap.

02

Background

The program needed to combine expert guidance, authentic cases, practical tools, and an ongoing community. The design ambition was to support approximately 1,000 clinicians while preserving the relevance of peer exchange and practice-level application.

03

My role + actions

  • Contributed scientific and solution design across the learning journey, from clinical challenge to practical application.
  • Shaped a case-based architecture that connected expert discussion with diagnostic and treatment decisions.
  • Integrated scalable digital learning, implementation tools, and community touchpoints into one program experience.
  • Aligned educational value, sponsor priorities, operational feasibility, and outcomes logic across stakeholders.
04

Outcome

  • Helped create a scalable education ecosystem rather than a single event.
  • Made implementation—not content consumption—the organizing principle of the experience.
  • Established a platform for deeper case simulation, digital tools, and expanded collaboration over time.
